By choosing what rubbish you throw away can reduce the amount of waste that is created daily. To reduce your waste at home, school or work just follow the simple guidelines.

What To Buy and How To Use It
Reduction of waste starts at the supermarket by slightly making alternations to your shopping list can significantly reduce the amount of waste created in and around the home.

Buy only what you need
Avoid those pointless purchases that are rarely being used in this way it can reduce the unnecessary waste.

Buy products that can be reused
Items such as buying a bottle and rechargeable batteries creates very little waste, as they don't have to be thrown away after they have been used.

Buy all-purpose household cleaner
Rather than buying different kinds of household cleaner for each role.

Buy products with little packaging
The less packing needs the less rubbish you will create. So better buy them in bulk instead of buying it in a smaller amounts. This will save your money as well as reducing unwanted waste.

Sell or give away unwanted items
Reduce your waste by donating the items to family, friends or neighbors. If not you can donate it to charity organazation.

Reducing Hazardous Waste
Most of the products that we buy can be hazardous as they contain harmful chemicals so some products cannot be recycled. Although, there are still some ways to reduce waste by dealing the hazardous products in a correct manner.

Whenever possible buy non-toxic products. Many kinds of toxic products such as motor oil and pesticides cannot be reused.

Recycle motor products
Take your products like break fluid, oils and tires to your local petrol station by doing so you are reducing hazardous waste instead of throwing them away. Use all of the toxic product such as polished furniture so that there is no hazardous material left in the container when it is being thrown away.

Find safer alternatives to hazardous household products. Using products such as baking soda and vinegar can be used as your household cleaning liquids. Lemon juice with olive oil is a good alternative to polish your furniture as well as scented candles for air fresheners.

Think Before You Throw
Many of the things that we think normally consider as rubbish could be used for other purposes so instead of throwing them away reduce waste by using other alternatives.

Paper and Envelopes
Scrap papers can be used for making notes.
Cardboard, Newspaper and Bubble Wrap
Can be used for packing products such as foil, egg cartons and even in school and nurseries you can use it for art projects.
Jars and Pots
To store odds and ends things jars and pots can be used as a container.
Plastic and Paper Bags
They are used as bin bags around the house or as wrapping paper.
Used wood
For woodcrafts in making small garden objects such as bird tables or to be used as firewood you can use used woods.
