Too many lids will pollute the load so remove and throw away plastic caps because they are often made from a different polymer type, and so they have a different melting point compared to the plastic used for the bottle.

From your papers remove paper clips, staples and plastic envelope window and also remove excessive amounts of tape and labeling from cardboard packaging.

Can I recycle soiled paper?
If the paper fibers are contaminated with food they cannot be recycled. Here are a few suggestions:
